DEVELOPING CITIZENS OF CHARACTER DEDICATED TO SERVING THEIR NATION AND COMMUNITY
About Us
Our Group (TX-20006) was established at Klein Oak High School effective 1 July 2000. Our ASIs are Senior Master Sergeant Chad Johnson, USAF (Ret.) and Senior Master Victor Vale, USAF (Ret.).
The mission of the AFJROTC program is to "develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community". Its objectives are to educate and train our students in citizenship; promote community service; instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline; and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.
The AFJROTC curriculum we teach includes a combination of Aerospace Science, Leadership Education and Wellness Education. Aerospace Science focuses on aerospace history, aerospace environment (science of flight), space exploration and cultural studies. Leadership Education is the part of the curriculum that develops leadership skills to include discipline, responsibility, leadership, and citizenship. Wellness education is an official and integral part of AFJROTC. Its objective is to motivate AFJORTC cadets to lead active, healthy lifestyles beyond program requirements and into their adult lives.
Whether you are a member or a perspective member of Klein Oak's AFJROTC we wish you success and personal satisfaction during your high school journey.
